Tuesday's In Other Words

"If we could understand everything
God does, then He'd have to be a small god--small enough to fit in our little
minds."

~ Randy Alcorn ~

God is not limited by human wisdom and understanding. He is so much bigger than that. . . So much bigger than even our teeny little brains can comprehend. If we could understand everything God does or allows, then he would be limited in power and knowledge and understanding and thus not a 'big' god at all. It's ok not to understand what God is doing. It is even ok to ask him why, though we may never get an answer to that. We must know that God always works within his character that is revealed to us in the Bible, and therefore he can be trusted. Even when we don't understand why He is allowing certain circumstances or trials in our lives, we can rest assured that He knows the plans He has for us, plans to prosper us and not harm us, plans to give us hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11). And no matter what man does to try to thwart God's plans we know that God's plans will always prevail, and He is even so powerful that he can make good come out of bad circumstances even when we cannot possibly fathom it.

Proverbs 19:21 Many are the plans in a man's heart, but it is the Lord's purpose that prevails.

Genesis 50:20a But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good.

Romans 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

Romans 11:33-36 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor? Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him? For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen.

I love that it is okay not to understand what God is doing. Takes so much pressure off of me to try and understand.
Bless you for sharing.

God bless you as you continue to walk in faith with Him the one who is unsearchable but is the God who loves us and redeemed us...

I don't think God minds when we ask why...it is just like us as parents...the kiddos can ask why, and may never 'understand' the answer:)
I agree with you, HE KNOWS why and that is good enough for me...sometimes not easy, but I believe....
Peace to you,
and I read on your sidebar that life is often normal and mundane...I need to 'embrace' the normal and mundane:)
I enjoyed my visit!
