Kyle And His 'Helmet'

The last couple of days I've been knitting a winter hat for Kyle. I finished it this morning. It turned out really well, and Kyle loves it. All hats make him feel like a big boy like daddy who wears baseball caps all the time. And you can tell from the pictures that he's rather proud of his new hat! The pattern was called Quick and Easy Helmet and is found in More Family Accessories book by Leisure Arts. It is a little big. It's actually meant for kids ages 3 to 5 so I expected it would be big. But it will do for this year, and it will fit for several more years to come.

P.S. Please excuse his messy look. We had pancakes for breakfast and I was in such a hurry to try the hat on him that I didn't bother changing him or washing his face. It's 9 a.m. and we are all still in our jammies. I better get off my behind and get it together!

You did a great job on the hat (helmet!) Melissa. You can DEFINATELY tell how excited Kyle is to have it. Jared is the same way with hats. Very fun!
