For the last few minutes, Hemi, our black lab puppy, has been chasing her tail. It's giving me quite a chuckle. She's going around and around until her little puppy-self can't walk straight and tumbles over. Those silly puppy antics are part of the reason they are so hard to resist I think.
Though Hemi is a lot of work, she's a sweet pup, eager to please, and she loves the kids. I need to take her back to Petsmart and weigh her. She weighed 20 lbs when we got her a week and a half ago, and I know she's grown quite a bit. She's doing fairly well on the potty training thing. It's depressing to admit, but I think she may actually be having less accidents in the house than my daughter, but that's another whole story. . .
And after a week and a half of all the extra work, I can confidently say that I AM glad that we got her. I wasn't completely convinced at first, but she has successfully wiggled her way into my heart, and I think she is going to be a wonderful addition to our family. Though I doubt either of my cats agree.
